A Symbol Takes Seconds.
A Brand Takes Years.
When you see the Red Shield, you see a global Jiu-Jitsu community, a set of values, and four decades of changing lives. If you've bowed onto a Gracie Barra mat, this story is already yours.
- 1 Shield One team, one standard
- 6 Continents One family, every mat
- 4 Decades Of changing lives
Commitment. Respect. Belonging.
Walk in wearing the Gracie Barra uniform and it already says something: you're part of something bigger than yourself. Wherever the Red Shield is on the wall, there's a community waiting — and you're always welcome.
It Didn't Start in a Boardroom
Back in 2003, sitting with Master Carlos to design the first-ever Gracie Barra uniform, the vision was already clear: one day the Red Shield would be all over the planet, but the path there was not. We had no background in business and none in apparel. One of us didn't even have a bank account — so we handed the supplier a check written by Professor Marcio, who had never written one before. The first bag held about fifty T-shirts. We took them to the school. They sold out in two days.

To Keep the Team as One
Passion and commitment were never in short supply — what the team needed was consistency. GB Wear exists to protect it: one identity, one standard, one shield that unites students, professors, and schools across the world — so wherever you train, you're recognizably part of the same team.
Same Symbol. Sharper Every Year.
It started with a bag of shirts and a folding table. It's stitched into every gi we make today. The shield never changed — everything around it did.
A bag of shirts, sold by hand
No warehouse, no website — a folding table and fifty tees. The shield went out into the world one handshake at a time.
The same shield, made right
Precision-stitched into a gi built for the way people actually train — tested on the mat, refined every season. Same symbol, sharper in every way that matters.
