THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING...
GB Wear is committed to supporting both the Gracie Barra community - and the planet!
We’re just starting our journey, but we’re dedicated to finding sustainable and practical solutions.
We know we can do more, and we will do more, to ensure a healthy environment for future generations of fighters.
Here is what we are doing right now...
We’re devoted to giving whole wearables a new life.
As an ongoing initiative, we send gently-used products to BJJ and Martial Arts social projects. Some of these
In 1986, Carlos Gracie Jr. founded the first Gracie Barra school in the city of Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. From the birth of one location, he expanded Gracie Barra to where it is today - USA, BRA, AUS, CAN, EUR, JAP with approximately 800 schools spanning the globe. Today Gracie Barra is the largest and most accomplished BJJ organization in the world.
Products that are no longer usable can be made into something new.
We’re proud of items like our (Re)Purposed Totes and Duffel Bag, which are made from 100% repurposed fabrics.
We’re also currently accepting donations of old and used gis, to use for upcoming (Re)Purposed products.
Great things can be made from purely recycled materials.
To further reduce our waste, GB Wear uses recycled packaging whenever it is possible.
We’re also working on new training products (including Gis and Rashguards) made from recycled fabrics, so stay tuned!
